- Year 1964
The bases of higher pharmaceutical education have been established in 1964, when due to the efforts and insistence of Nicolae Testemitanu – at that moment the minister of health, and Vasile Anestiadi – rector of Medical University, the Faculty of Pharmacy was founded. The new faculty was a part of existent faculty of Dentistry and the first dean of the Faculty was named assistant professor Constantin Matcovski.

Between 1966 and 1967 both faculties had been led by assistant professor in dentistry Arsenie Gutan.
- Year 1967
In 1967 the Faculty of Pharmacy had been separated from Dentistry and the own dean-office had been founded, Vasile Ivanov being named as a dean.
- Year 1970
In 1970 during 1 year pharmacologist Efim Muhin was dean.
- Year 1971
In October 1971 as the dean of the faculty was named Vasile Procopisin – PhD, later – doctor habilitat, professor, and corresponding member of Academy of Science of Republic of Moldova. He worked in this position until 2006 – for 35 years.

In 1982 the University Pharmacy as a part of Faculty is founded. This didactic and producing pharmacy is the first of this kind in USSR and one of the first in Europe.
- Year 1995
Since 1995 pharmaceutical departments are being organising continuous education for pharmacists. In 1996 the postgraduate training via residency has started.
- Year 1996
In 1996 the activity of Faculty is remarked by the renaming of University of Medicine into University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Nicolae Testemitanu”.
- Year 2002
In 2002 the Centre for Cultivation of Medicinal Plants and in 2006 the Scientific Centre in the field of medicines were founded.
- Year 2006
Since 2006 the dean of the Faculty is Nicolae Ciobanu – assistant professor.
